Entering God’s Rest
“There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no-one will fall by following their example of disobedience.” Hebrews 4:9-11, NIV
Man was created to enjoy life with God, while most Christians are striving, working to hold up God and follow all the religious rules. Yet the Bible describes a life in covenant with God which is the opposite: God holds up the believer and invites him to a satisfying life of knowing Him.
Still, it is rare to find a believer living at rest with God. Most just do not understand what the sabbath rest is supposed to look like while living in a fallen world. This seminar aims to renew the Christian mind stuck in religious performance mode.
The student will learn the various Biblical definitions of God’s rest, which encompass everything concerning us: our inward emotional life, our material provision, our safety in the midst of troubles. At the heart of this teaching lies the persistent Biblical truth that God can and will satisfy our hearts.
This seminar on CD teaches how to live in the Father’s love, the need to hear His voice, how to forgive others, and how to live by the energy and enabling of the Spirit. Presented by Tonia Woolever, the sessions include:
